Our Story
Over 30 years of experience in safety culture and safety management systems at mining operations worldwide, precipitated the GoViz solution. The recurrent safety issues that we sought to solve were:
High replacement cost of PPE and other equipment such as safety flags and wheel chocks, and injuries related to the absence of these equipment.
Lack of collective awareness of hazards at the mine site which increases the effort of site management to identify and correct or minimize exposures to the hazards in a timely manner.
Training and the dissemination of site-relevant news and technologies without significant disruption to production.
The OEMs for after-market truck equipment supply many individual safety devices ranging from strobe lights, headache racks, flood lights, etc. leading to a potpourri assemblage of tools that serve only that vehicle and driver.
We conceived a solution that could address the stated recurrent mining industry safety challenges by integrating the most used and essential safety aids into one product for powered surface haulage equipment. As miners, we wanted to contribute toward saving lives in the industry, by using newly available technologies to build a tool that was needed.
